Marquette fell short in their last outing to Saint John's by 1 point and it's possible the Golden Eagles were looking ahead on their schedule to this matchup. Marq is well coached and a very good team at home. It's been an incredibly successful year thus far for Marquette as the Golden Eagles stand 19-4 overall and 8-2 in conference. Marquette has shown the highest offensive ceiling in the Big East this season and guard Markus Howard has been outstanding leading the team averaging 24.6 points per game. Marquette has a great home court advantage which should be a big benefit for the Golden Eagles as they try and knock off the top team in the Big East standings.
