Cardinals over Mets- The Yankees kept telling Luis Severino that his last start was his last chance to save his spot in the rotation and they keep starting him. But, the Cardinals have promised Adam Wainwright (3-7, 8.78 ERA) this last opportunity to start on his farewell tour. He has been a career worse each time he steps to the mound to pitch and has surrendered 15 runs on 18 hits while retiring just 12 batters in his last two starts. But, hey this is the Mets and the Red Birds are not yet the dead birds as they have won five of their last seven games. New York’s starter Jose Quintana (0-4, 3.03) has pitched well enough to win but not good enough for these guys. Take ST. LOUIS!
