Mets over Cardinals- The 'price' of this game has me baffled as the below .500 Mets are favored on the road at St. Louis against the first-place (18-13) Cardinals. This becomes even more pronounced went we look at the starting pitching. The Red Birds will send John Gant (2-2, 2.16 ERA) to the mound and he has allowed two or fewer runs in four of his five starts and is 3-0 with a 0.87 ERA in seven appearances against the Mets. New York will start Taijuan Walker (1-1, 3.00) who is 0-1 with a 3.50 ERA against the Cardinals. Add that the Mets are 2-7 in the last nine meetings and 20-42 in the last 62 meetings in St. Louis...and yet looks who's favored. Take NEW YORK!
