Chicago Cubs at Detroit 7:10 ET
Tigers over Cubs- I feel like 'we' stole one yesterday laying over -170 in any game is not my style but I saw what Yu Darvish has been doing without any support. Sunday he allows a single run on a solo home and the Cubs eek out a 2-1 win for us. But, that is as far as I am going to go with this team at this time as Kris Bryant is out along with other key position players. The storyline on this game should be and will be focused on Detroit starter Casey Mize (0-0, 6.23 ERA) who had seven K's in 4.2 innings in his debut against the White Sox. Mize was the top pick from Auburn in the 2018 draft an has career ERA of 2.76 in 26 minor league starts. He will be opposed by Chicago's Alec Mills (2-2, 4.76) coming off his worst outing this season he will be facing Detroit for the first time. Cubbies started 13-3 but their bats have caught a virus and they are 3-7 in last 10 and add that they are 5-13 in the last 18 meetings with the Tigers. Of course tigers will aways get the best of cubs especially when they are hurting. Take DETROIT!
