Panthers (-) over Tar Heels- "You've come a long way baby'...Mack Brown lifted the down trodden Tar Heels off of the mat after three disastrous seasons by starting with a win over rival South Carolina followed with another upset win over Miami-Fl and the media and for the most part the public were hooked. Well, North Carolina has dropped five of seven since September 7 with their best effort a 21-20 loss to Clemson but it won't get any better here. Yes, they can move the ball and put points on the board (28 pts per) but they surrender 27 points a game and are up against one of the NCAA's better defenses. Pitt's defense second in the nation in sacks (4.44 pg), seventh in rushing defense (85.9 ypg) and ninth in total defense (180.2 ypg). They are just better because the Tar Hells haven't come this far yet. Take the PANTHERS!
