Mets over Nationals- This is a matchup of the NL's last two Cy Young Award winners as New York's Jacob deGrom (8-8, .66 ERA) faces Washington's Max Scherzer (9-5, .46). Including yesterdays blow-out in by the Mets the Nationals are 16-4 since August 11 in their last 20 outings. These mound opponents have thrown as well against each others clubs as they have everybody else. deGrom is 8-4 with a 2.33 ERA in 18 starts against the Nats while Scherzer is 10-5 with a 2.47 ERA in 19 starts against the Mets. But, Scherzer has only worked 4.0 and 4.1 innings in his two starts since coming of off the IL. This time it goes to the Mets. Take NEW YORK!
