Reds over Cardinals- After getting crushed with the Reds by St. Louis last night I had to do a double check on the 'price' of this contest after noting the starting pitchers. The Cardinals will send three-time All-Star Adam Wainwright (6-7, 3.99 ERA) to the mound and he has a pair of issues, one of which is his road performance posting horrific numbers in his last eight starts going 1-5 with a 6.20 ERA and his other problem is the Reds. His lifetime record against Cincinnati is a meager 9-12 with a hefty 5.01 ERA in 30 appearances. Okay, so those numbers are not impressive but, look and see who he is up against. Tyler Mahle (2-10, 4.82) who is in the mist of a seven start winless streak allowing 10 runs against Colorado his last time out and is 0-5 with a 5.80 ERA. So, tell me why the Reds opened the favorite? Tis one smells...take CINCINNATI!
