Padres over Angels- San Diego starter Robbie Erlin (2-3, 3.36 ERA) has been 'fighting' for a spot in the rotation after 27 relief appearances. A control pitcher Erlin has just 57 strikeouts in 70 innings but only eight walks a 2.05 ERA and has a 0.99 WHIP on the season out of the bullpen. In his previous two starts Erlin has allowed three earned runs in 10 innings against the Cubs and Brewers and is looking for a regular spot in the starting rotation. Angels starter Felix Pena (1-3, 4.95) has allowed 24 runs on 44 hits in just 43 innings and just doesn't cut it. Take San Diego!
