St. Louis who will start rookie left-hander Austin Gomber (1-0, 3.22 ERA) is just 2-7 the last nine meetings in Pittsburgh. The Pirates will start the struggling Ivan Nova (6-6, 4.33) who is 1-2 with a 4.18 ERA lifetime against the Cardinals. Gomber has worked just 22 innings but has surrendered only 15 hits while Nova has given up 125 hits in 114 innings. Take ST. LOUIS!
