49ers (-) over Broncos- Since the departure of Peyton Manning the Broncos have been looking for a 'big-time' quarterback that can lead them back to the Super Bowl and the competition for the starting spot continues between Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch. In Denver's pre-season win over Chicago neither QB really separated themselves for the other a Siemian passed for 51 yards and Lynch just 42 yards. San Francisco was more impressive in their opening 27-17 win over Kansas City as their defense held the Chiefs to just 31 yards rushing. The Niners are fighting for respectability and come up big in this meaningless encounter. Take SAN FRANCISCO!
