Rays over Pirates- The Rays Alex Cobb (6-5, 4.05 ERA) is beginning to work like a player from 'yesteryear,' no not because he lost 19 game last season but because he is willing to work late into games as is evidenced by the 110 pitches he threw last time out. Some believe that he will be 'tired' here but as previous hurlers ( Server, Ryan, Gibson and others) have show the more you work the stronger you get. In inter-league play Cobb is 9-3 lifetime with a 2.79 ERA in 14 career starts. Trevor Williams (3-3, 5.09) who is making the transition from reliever to starter will go for the Pirates and is making his first inter:league start. Take TAMPA BAY!
