Marlins over Tigers- The Detroit Tigers finished last in the AL Central last season and posted only 74 wins their lowest in 11 years. They made a splash in the free agency derby spending $260 million on Francisco Rodriguez, Justin Austin and Jordan Zimmerman. Meanwhile the Marlins added Manager Don Mattingly and coach Barry Bonds. Detroit is starting Justin Verlander (5-8, 3.38 ERA) who is just not the same since winning his last Cy Young. Wei-Yin Chen (11-8, 3.34 ERA) is the surprise Marlins starter and that pays off tonight.
