LMU vs. Santa Clara: Jan. 16th, 2025
(NCAAB) Broncos (SCU) vs. Lions (LMU),
Point Spread: -4.50 | -110.00 Broncos (SCU) (Away)
Result: Loss
We've got West Coast Conference action Thursday night, as Santa Clara heads to SoCal to face Loyola Marymount. LMU comes in off of losses to conference buzzsaws Gonzaga and Saint Mary's, and I don't think the going gets easier here.

Santa Clara has righted the ship after a rough start to the season. Since a 3-5 start to the campaign, the Broncos have won nine of their last 10 games, including a win over Big 12 foe TCU. Their offense has come alive, scoring at least 81 points in all but one of their last nine games. Five Broncos average 10 or more points per game, making for a team that's tough to guard.

The Lions, meanwhile, fell apart late against Saint Mary's and have shown they lack offensive firepower. Losers of four of their last five, they were outscored 51-32 in the second half by the Gaels, who are far from an offensive powerhouse. I don't think Santa Clara is a good matchup for them, and honestly, I'm stunned this spread isn't several points larger.

Take the Broncos and give the points.
