The Texas Longhorns are still in the mix for a College Football Playoff spot, and they'll take a trip to old Southwest Conference foe Arkansas this weekend. While the Longhorns are battling for national title consideration, their opponents this weekend have many pressing questions to answer as they look for bowl eligibility.
Arkansas comes out of a much-needed bye week, and was last seen losing a 63-31 blowout to Ole Miss. That's not a bad loss, on the surface, but it continues a trend where the Razorbacks have trouble keeping up with high-octane offenses. They're a decent team, certainly better than most expected them to be this season, but I think they have their hands full Saturday.
Texas has bounced back from the loss to Georgia with two quality wins. After going on the road and topping a pesky Vanderbilt squad, they thumped Florida 49-17. Quinn Ewers has shown an ability to make top-tier throws, and the Longhorns can put up points with the best of them. I simply don't think the Razorbacks will be able to keep up on Saturday.
Take Texas and give the 12 points.
