The Birds look like they could use the All-Star break, especially the hitters who have forgotten what to do at the plate. In the current 4-game losing streak, the O's are enduring the kind of slump that recalls some of the darkest days at Camden Yards, scoring just three runs across the current skid. Frustrations boiled over in the 9th inning last night with a bench-clearing brawl, but the Yankees look ready to collar the Birds at the top of the AL East, especially if Luis Gil pitches as well as he did last Sunday night vs. the Bosox (just one run and four hits allowed in 6 1/3 IP).
