A bit of revenge here for the Birds, who got swept out of the ALDS last October by the Rangers, who happened to be en route to their first-ever World Series crown. Baltimore was just in its longest losing streak since before it beat red-hot Cleveland on Wednesday, snapping a five-game skid, and have seen this scenario generate some real momentum in the past, especially when a pitcher like Corbin Burnes (8-3, 2.45 ERA, 1.01 WHIP) is on the mound. Note the Birds had won in six straight starts by Corbin prior to last weekend in Houston, when the O's didn't win any of the three games. Jon Gray is off of a superb six shutout innings for the Rangers against the Royals last weekend, but his form has been erratic, and some worrisome vibes out of Arlington as GM Chris Young went very public with his dissatisfaction with the offense before making several roster moves at midweek.
