Reds at Brewers
(MLB) Reds (CIN) vs. Brewers (MIL),
Total: 8.50 | -125.00 Under
Result: Loss
It's an irresistible combination for "unders"...solid pitching and poor hitting. That's the Reds, who came close to getting blanked for a fourth time in a row last night before scoring twice in Milwaukee, but it wasn't enough in a 3-2 loss. The offense has to shift out of first gear for Terry Francona, with only five hits on Friday, and spoiled another very good Reds pitching effort from Nick Martinez and the bullpen as Cincy has allowed only six runs the past four games...and lost them all. Meanwhile the Brewers have allowed only four runs total across their last four games, all wins, a far cry from the 47 they allowed in their first four. For Cincy, ex-Royal Brady Singer was superb in his Reds debut on Monday vs. Texas, pitching seven innings of one-hit ball with 8 Ks in a 14-3 win (see, the Reds actually scored 14 runs in a game this week!).
