Iowa at Ohio State
(NCAAB) Hawkeyes (IOWA) vs. Buckeyes (OSU),
Point Spread: -7.50 | -110.00 Buckeyes (OSU) (Home)
Result: Win
Still waiting to be impressed by Iowa, which was fortunate to survive a 1-point home squeaker vs. Penn State on Friday, but most other indicators still point downward for the Hawkeyes at the end of January. Three losses preceded that narrow escape vs. the Nittany Lions and defense still remains a major question for Fran McCaffery, reflected in allowing 47.6% FGs, ranking a very poor 339 out of 355. In its three Big Ten road games thus far, Iowa has allowed 103 ppg and nearly 64% FG shooting to speak to that softness. Meanwhile the Buckeyes own wins over several ranked sides including last Tuesday vs. Purdue, with San Diego State transfer wing Micah Parrish picking up the pace the past two games when scoring 21 pg, including 7 of 11 beyond the arc.
