The hot Oilers roll into Denver tonight with wins in seven of eight, and after winning 5-3 vs. the Wild at St. Paul last night, note the Oilers have won four of their last five in second nights of back-to-backs. Tonight might not be easy in Denver, however, as the Avs are very glad with GK Mackenzie Blackwood since making the deal with San Jose to acquire him in early December. Colorado is 8-2 in Blackwood's last ten starts, and Blackwood's numbers in six January appearances are impressive...1.49 GAA and .941 saves among them. After Cal Pickard worked in goal last night vs. the Wild, Stuart Skinner is back in the nets for Edmonton tonight after rolling shutouts vs. the Bruins and Kings in two of his last three starts.
