Braves at Reds
(MLB) Braves (ATL) vs. Reds (CIN),
Point Spread: -1.50 | -120.00 Braves (ATL) (Away)
Result: Win
The Braves finally listened on Wednesday and were able to bear down for a 7-1 win at Cincy. Important because time is running out to catch either the Mets or D-backs, both 2 games ahead, in the chase for an NL wild card berth. Chances look good on Thursday, especially given Chris Sale's current form, which has overwhelmed across his last seven starts, all wins for the Braves; across that span, he's allowed just 6 runs in 45 IP (1.20 ERA), and his September ERA is even better (0.47) after two previous starts this month. We note that the Reds have won all six starts made by rookie Julian Aguiar, but sometimes not because of anything Aguiar has done; his ERA is a not-so-overwhelming 4.88, and he's received 42 runs of support, equating to seven runs pg. We'll bet a coney dog at Gold Start Chili that the Reds don't score seven off of Sale on Thursday. Play Braves on Run Line
