This doesn't seem overly risky to back the Cards tonight on the Run Line, considering the way Sonny Gray has been pitching lately. Across his last three starts, Gray has allowed a mere one run on each occasion, posting a 1.42 ERA along the way. Best of all for the Redbirds, they won all three of his starts. It might be asking a buit much of the Bucs' Jake Woodford to keep pace with gray. unlike another ex-White Sox pitcher traded at the deadline, Michael Kopech, flourishing with the Dodgers, Woodford has only struggled with the Pirates, posting an ERA of nine in five August appearances. He's on the mound for the first time since August 24 tonight. Pittsburgh's sluggish offense also isn't much helping matters, generating just one run total across the first two games of this midweek series at Busch Stadium. Play Cards on Run line
