If there's any team in the NFL that has an "under" look about it entering the new season, it's the Patriots. Reluctantly, it seemed, new HC Jerod Mayo was opted to begin the season with well-traveled Jacoby Brissett (in his second New England stint) at QB despite being outplayed by North Carolina rookie Drake Maye in an otherwise uneventful preseason. Neither, however, convinces at the moment, and with Mayo's defense appearing to be rather sturdy, we envision many low-scoring games, at least in September, involving the Pats. Meanwhile Joe Burrow makes his return to active duty for the Bengals after missing most of last season, and the JaMarr Chase contract saga loomed over Cincy all summer.
