But Cal Quantrill is not spawning much fear lately when on the mound, as his 1.71 ERA back in May now feels a long time ago, especially as he posted a 7.54 ERA in July. San Diego did win last night and is now 10-2 across its last 12 games, and Matt Waldron has been very serviceable on the mound, posting a 3.17 ERA across fourteen starts before facing the Dodgers last Tuesday.
