Remember we told you that efficiency is one of the most correctable problems. Miss State despite destroying Southern Miss 49-0, should have won by more. Mississippi State scored plenty of points last weekend, but surprisingly struggled when given good field position. The Bulldogs scored zero points on three drives that started on Southern Miss side of the field including one that began just four yards from the end zone.

UAB did run through Troy last week, but will face a much tougher squad in Miss State. In its first season under coach Bill Clark, they did catch Troy off guard but will not this week to the Bulldogs.
