SunBelt Game of the Year

UL Lafayette is a clear-cut Peter Principle team. They were blown out by two BCS teams but 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread against teams at or below their level. In fact, the only Vegas loss was by 2.5 on a game they won outright, while the covers are by 37, 13, and 20.

Yes Arkansas State has also played tough BCS foes on the road, but ULL has worked out perfectly. They took their lumps in the two opening games, but after baptism by fire has been great the last four.

UL has, in order, a 137-yard running game from Elijah McGuire, two 300-plus yard passing games from Terrance Broadway that both included 100-yard receiving games from Jamal Robinson, and a 115-yard running game from Alonzo Harris.

They are ready for the not-so-rare Tuesday night game as it is the fourth Tuesday game UL has had in its last 15 outings, and its second in eight nights.

Many sharps like us believe ULL is a bit under the radar right now.
