What? What? We have Josh Freeman as a Wise Guy? Long time clients (and we are very thankful to have many) should be not be surprised. Yes we have faded the whiny, underachieving Freeman to spread victory many times.
But whiny, underachieving QBs get new life in our Jeff George Honeymoon theory. Freeman has talent. He will have a chip on his shoulder to prove Greg Schiano wrong. He is likely not a long-term answer, but we will make our handicapping adjustments as the facts guide us.
But he will pay short-term dividends. The Giants are what their record says they are. Speaking of whiny, underachieving QBs, Jay Cutler handed the Giants their first cover last week, but yet another loss. New York is still winless straight up and 1-5 against the spread with a margin of cover of (-14.3), just a notch better than Houston.
We have documented how valuable Vikings fullback Jerome Felton is to the team and we expect Freeman and he to give this offense a lift.
The Giants running game is so bad, they signed Peyton Hillis, who has done nothing since 2010. Who wins outright is the only question.
