(NCAAF) UTSA vs. Arizona,
Point Spread: -24.00 | -110.00 Arizona (Home)
Result: Win
As stated, we expected Arizona to be drastically improved, especially on defense. With a ton of injuries and a bunch of young players thrown out there before they were ready, the Cats struggled to learn the complicated 4-2-5 defense. They return 20 guys who started at least one game on defense are are so much better.

KaDeem Carey returned after a one-game suspension for Arizona. Carey did lead the nation both ways in 2012 in total rushing yards (1,929) and yards per game (148.38).

Though he did not get a carry in the first quarter, Carey took the first handoff he received and went 58 yards for a touchdown. It was quite a statement for a back that led the nation in rushing last season. Carey finished with 171 yards and two touchdowns on 16 attempts to power the Arizona offense, which had 397 yards rushing overall. The Wildcats have rushed for 703 yards as a team, which ranks fourth in the country.

UTSA scored 28 of its 35 points in the fourth quarter once Oklahoma State let up and played backups. Arizona has a chip on their shoulder after their defense was terrible last year. They are much better and want to make a statement.
