Utah State is getting better every game. They opened up and struggled to Southern Utah, perhaps in a look ahead to Utah. Against the Utes, they were very competitive. Okay the next week a bit of a letdown in their second straight road game. Then a much needed week off and they have been completely refreshed with easily the two best games of the season.

Is there a more underrated player than Utah State QB Kent Meyers? The sophomore has stepped in for oft-injured starter Chuckie Keeton and led the Aggies to two wins in two starts. He was named Mountain West offensive player of the week after rushing for 191 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries against Colorado State. Meyers relied on his arm last week and threw for a career-high 260 yards and a touchdown.

Oh he is 7-1 straight up as a starter, so I am exploiting overreaction to his injury. The Aggies have won 20 of its last 22 home games. The 19.2 points per game allowed are second-best in the Mountain West for Utah State.
