Under Jason Candel, the Toledo Rockets have had no problem laying the wood on inferior opponents early in the season. Toledo beat Texas Southern 71-3 last year. In 2022, early, they beat Long Island 37-0 and UMass 55-10. They also hammered Norfolk State 49-10 in 2021. The Rockets lost several key pieces from last year's team but should still have no problems here, as the cupboard is far from bare.

Last year, Duquesne lost at West Virginia 56-17, and Coastal Carolina 66-7.
