The Yankees have allowed three runs or less in four of Gerrit Cole's last five starts, and in two starts against the Astros last year Cole posted a 1.13 ERA. Houston will counter with Cristian Javier who tossed three scoreless innings in his only start against New York last season.
Houston has been the best road under team in baseball this season with 27 of their 39 games falling below the total. On the other side, even with the potent offense, the Yankees are the 10th best under team at home with 21 of their 38 games going under. With the Yankees bullpen ranking second with a 2.94 ERA, and the Astros bullpen third with a 3.07 ERA, I don't see these teams combining for nine runs.
