At 1:35pm ET, my Early Riser is on Seattle. The Mariners' losing streak came at the wrong time. They can ill afford for it to continue. Today, they will get back on track and George Kirby will lead the way. Kirby hasn't fared too well in August but he's still having a stellar season. Not so for Jake Woodford. Woodford is 0-4 with a 5.87 ERA. It gets worse. At home, he is 0-3 with a 10.50 ERA. Kirby and the Mariners also have the backing of the better bullpen. The Pirates, 25-32 after a victory, will be outmatched on the mound this afternoon. Play on Seattle.
