AT 9:40 ET my August NL West GOM is on San Diego. The Padres may be the hottest team in baseball. They are 9-2 since the middle of July. Tonight they are a rested home team facing a bad road team which is playing with no rest. Randy Vasquez has a very respectable 3.44 ERA at home. That compares favorably to Austin Gomber who is 1-6 with a 5.73 ERA on the road. The Padres were swept by the Rockies here in the spring and know they can't take the Rockies lightly.
