The gave up a game tying 2-run home run with 2 out in the 9th ininng and went on to lose in extra innings. That's been the way things have gone for the Bronx Bombers of late. Getting stronger each time out, Gerrit Cole will get them going this afternoon. The Yankees ace is working his way back and now has made 3 starts. There were very positive signs in the last one as he struck out 6 in 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner threw 90 pitches and the Yankees won 8-1. Cole will get support as Winckowski is 0-2 with a 6.52 ERA in five career appearances (two starts) against the Yankees. Play on New York
