ROGERS NHL TRIPLE-PLAY! (FEATURES 10* TOTAL!)
(NHL) Carolina vs. NY Islanders,
Money Line: -167.00 NY Islanders (Home)
Result: Win
Both the Carolina Hurricanes and the New York Islanders have won two of their past three games, but the Islanders won 4-3 in overtime at Carolina on Saturday and I like the Isles to get the better of the Canes home in Brooklyn as well.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Motivational - The Canes chances of making the playoffs are slim to none as they enter Tuesday's play trailing the last wild card in the conference by six points with just six games to go, and six tough ones at that. The Islanders own the first wild card in the conference but the mission is far from complete with Philly and Detroit tied for the last wild card only two points back.

2. Home Cookin' - The move from classic Nassau Coliseum to the ultra-modern Barclays Center have been a positive for the Islanders who have a respectable 22-9-3 record at home this season. They've won seven of their last nine in front of the home town crowd while the Canes have dropped four of their past five on the road.

3. X-Factor - Carolina has lost five of its last seven versus Eastern Conferene opponents.

Selection: This is a play on the New York Islanders (8*)
