The Detroit Pistons are the hottest team in the league, winning seven straight since parting ways with Josh Smith. Needless to say, both these teams have played well defensively during their respective winning streaks, and I expect a tough battle in Detroit tonight. The number looks a little high all things considered.

1. Improved Detroit Defense - The Pistons have limited opponents to an average of 92.9 points during their winning streak, even more impressive when you consider that they played some elite teams during that stretch.

2. Previous History - Four of the last five meetings between these two teams have failed to reach the total, and seven of the last 10 in Detroit have also gone under.

3. X-Factor - The Under is 23-8 in Hawks last 31 games playing on 1 days rest.
