The Coach's NHL Total ANNIHILATOR
(NHL) Boston vs. Columbus,
Total: 5.50 | 120.00 Over
Result: Loss
The Columbus Blue Jackets suffered a 5-1 defeat against the Predators just before the Christmas break, their second defeat of the month. The Boston Bruins are coming into this contest looking for a third consecutive win, after winning two high-scoring back-to-back games. I don't expect to see many goals tonight though, as we'll have an interesting goaltending match-up on our hands.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Goaltending - Sergei Bobrovsky is coming off an unusually poor performance, allowing four goals on 30 shots against Nashville, but had compiled a 2.01 GAA over nine games prior. Tuuka Rask has been solid lately, allowing 18 goals over his last seven starts and has allowed seven goals over his last five versus Columbus.

2. Trends - The Blue Jackets have a propensity of playing close low-scoring games against quality opponents, with six of their last eight against a team with a winning record going under the total. The under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 match-ups between these two teams.

3. X-Factor - The Blue Jackets have killed off 16 consecutive penalties over their last five games.

Selection: This is a play on BOS@CBJ to go under the total (8*)
