The Coach's NHL Late Show @ The Saddledome
(NHL) Edmonton vs. Calgary,
Money Line: -188.00 Calgary (Home)
Result: Win
Two struggling sides will face off at the Saddledome tonight as the Calgary Flames are hosting the Edmonton Oilers. The visitors are coming into this contest on the back off an eight game slide, and Calgary has just one win it's last nine. The Flames put an end to their slide with a win at L.A. before the break though, and they should be able to back that up with a home win tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. The Oilers Goaltending - Edmonton is allowing a league worst 3.40 goals per game. Both its goalies Ben Scrivens and Victor Fasth have a GAA in the 3.20-3.30 span, and Scrivens lasted only five minutes against the Coyotes Dec 23 after allowing two goals on three shots. Fasth came on and conceded three more on only 19 shots and is showing a .878 save percentage for the season.

2. Road Woes - No team in the National Hockey League has been worse on the road than the Edmonton Oilers this season. They've only picked up the two points two times over 16 attempts when they won back-to-back games mid-November. They've lost nine straight away from home since.

3. X-Factor - The Flames rookie Johnny Gaudreau has 10 goals and 27 points for the season and is coming off his first career hat-trick ever after netting three against the Kings.

Selection: This is a play on the Calgary Flames (8*)
