The Minnesota Timberwolves were blown off the court in New Orleans last night, losing 139-91 to the Pelicans. They don't have much time to lick their wounds, as they get right back on the court in Dallas tonight. The Mavs scored a whopping 123 points in a home win over Philly on Thursday, and I think we could see Dallas shoot out the lights again tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Minnesota Defense - The Timberwolves are one of the worst teams in the NBA, allowing opponents to average 107.4 points per game (27th). That's not good news as they get ready to face a Mavs team that leads the NBA in scoring (107.1 PPG).

2. Trends - These teams have seen the total go over in four of the last five meetings in Dallas.

3. X-Factor - The Mavs are averaging 112.6 points at home this season, winning four of five.
