Padres left-hander Blake Snell (3-3, 4.99 ERA) has allowed 33 runs in 32 2/3 innings of work for a hideous 9.09 ERA on the road this season. Nats' lefty Patrick Corbin (6-7, 5.40 ERA) has posted a 4.88 ERA at home. Washington used six relievers yesterday as starter Erick Fedde was getting chased off the mound in the second frame.
