Oakland Athletics right-hander Chris Bassitt (1-2, 4.96 ERA) picked up his first win when he held Arizona to a pair of runs on two hits through five innings of a 9-5 Oakland win last time out. Bassitt is 4-2 with a 3.35 ERA in six career starts against the Tigers who counter with left-hander Matthew Boyd.

While Boyd (2-1, 1.86 ERA) is off to a fast start to the season, note that he has yet to beat Oakland in his career, going 0-1 with a 5.56 ERA in two starts.

The A's are riding a seven-game winning streak, including taking the first three of this four-game series while outscoring the Tigers 18-4. I think we're getting a great price on Oakland to complete the sweep.
