The Chicago Cubs opened this series with a 10-0 triumph on Monday, but I think they'll face far more resistance from the Pirates here in Game 2 of the series.

Pirates' right-hander Jordan Lyles (0-0, 0.00 ERA) pitched five scoreless innings in his season debut against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. "He's got a good feel for the ball," catcher Jacob Stallings said in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "He can throw his fastball at the top of the zone, curveball off of it and mix his two-seam cutter and changeup in. He's been doing it a long time so he knows how to pitch. ..."

The Cubs hand the ball to Yu Darvish (0-1, 8.10 ERA) who is winless since May 20, 2018. He's had a poor start to the new season, allowing six runs on seven hits and 11 walks in two starts covering just a total of 6 2/3 innings.

Pittsburgh had won four on the bounce prior to Monday's beatdown and the club is 8-2 in its last 10 games following a loss.
