The St. Louis Cardinals came up short on Opening Day as they took a 5-4 loss here at Miller Park. I like the Cards to get revenge here in Game 2 of the series with right-hander Jack Flaherty (2018: 8-9, 3.34 ERA) on the mound.

Flaherty went 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in four starts against the Brew Crew last season and allowed just two runs while fanning 22 through 12 frames here at Miller Park. Right-hander Freddy Peralta (2018: 6-4, 4.25 ERA) will start for Milwaukee. He lost his lone decision against St. Louis last season while conceding three runs in six innings of a 5-2 defeat on Aug. 17.

The Cards' went deep three times in yesterday's contest despite offseason acquisition Paul Goldschmidt going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts. Kolten Wong reached the seats twice. "My confidence is pretty high. And my confidence in this team is pretty high," Wong said, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I know we're going to click eventually and things are going to start rolling for us."

The visitors should be fired up here after dropping five straight to their NL Central rival and I like the price we get on the Cardinals tonight.
