The Marshall Thundering Herd have plenty of momentum after winning five of their last six including a 28-25 triumph at Florida International last Saturday. They have surrendered only 12.7 ppg during the win streak and I think they'll keep this close. The Hokies had lost four straight prior to a 34-31 OT win over in-state rival Virginia last week and they're 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Virginia Tech needs a win to secure bowl eligibility but don't expect the visitors to give anything for free as they surely would take plenty of pleasure in making the Hokies fail to gain bowl eligibility for the first time in 26 years.
