The Angels counter with Matt Shoemaker (2-1, 3.98 ERA) who got beaten up by the Mariners on Friday, getting the loss by going 4 2/3 innings and giving up three runs and five hits. He's made just four starts this year after missing most of the season with forearm issues.

The A's are 14-5 as home favorites in day games this year. The Angels are 2-7 in the opposite spot.
