The Chicago Cubs scored four home runs as they claimed the series opener 10-6 Friday afternoon. They've now put double digits on the scoreboard in consecutive game, and I think they'll have plenty of success here against Twins Adalberto Mejia. The left-hander went 4-7 with a 4.50 ERA in 21 starts last year, but has spent the entire season in the minor leagues. He could certainly have asked for an easier opponent in his season debut.

The Cubs turn to Tyler Chatwood (3-5, 3.95 ERA) who will make his first start after being activated off the paternity list earlier this week. He held the Dodgers to a run and two hits in five innings on June 19 his last time out, and I think Chatwood will be effective again today.

Cubs are 7-1 in their last 8 games vs. a left-handed starter and 7-2 in their last 9 home games. Twins are 6-20 in their last 26 interleague road games vs. a team with a winning record.
