The Georgia Bulldogs defeated Appalachian State 31-10 as a 12.5-point favorite in the season opener. Freshman Jake Fromm completed 10-of-15 passes for 143 yards and a TD after losing Jacob Eason to a sprained knee early in the game.

They have not only one, but two explosive running backs in Nick Chubb and Sony Michel.Chubb rushed for 96 yards while Michel added 87 in the opener against the Mountaineers. Defensively the Bulldogs looked solid as well and they held a 368-264 advantage in total yards.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish did also take care of business in their first game of the season with a 49-16 win as a 19-point favorite against Temple. They finished with a 606-330 edge in total yards and QB Brandon Wimbush completed 17-of-30 passes for 184 yards with two TDs and one INT while adding 106 yards (one TD) on the ground.

Running backs Dexter Williams and Josh Adams rushed for 124 and 161 yards, respectively, but the Fighting Irish will face a much tougher defense tonight.

The Fighting Irish are 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
