(MLB) Toronto vs. Colorado,
Money Line: -128.00 Toronto (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -128.00 Toronto (Away)
Result: Win
Play: Toronto Blue Jays
Rating: 8*
The Toronto Blue Jays had dropped six straight meetings at Coors Field before finally picking up a win in Tuesday's contest. They earned the victory by swinging hot bats, and I like the Jays to keep pounding on the Rockies pitching staff today.
Tyler Anderson (0-1, 2.55 ERA) takes the ball for Colorado. The 26 year old rookie will make his fourth major league start but has impressed by allowing just five earned runs through his first three outings. He did however give up eight hits and a pair of walks in 5 2/3 innings against the D'Backs his last time out and I can see him struggling with the Jays powerful lineup.
Toronto hands the ball to Aaron Sanchez (7-1, 3.33 ERA) who's been solid all year long and has held opponents to two or fewer runs in four of his last five starts. He's an undefeated 5-0 with a 2.48 ERA and .217 BAA in nine road starts this season and the Blue Jays are 8-3 in Sanchez's last 11 starts overall.
The Rockies' bullpen has the second highest ERA in baseball this season, and I think the Jays will get to Anderson early and then get a look at the Rockies' subpar relievers that got hit hard last night.
