Total: 65.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the OVER between Fresno State and UNLV.
Fresno State will look to take advantage of a UNLV team which will be without its primary QB. UNLV starter Blake Decker suffered an injury to his right throwing arm last week in his team's 33-10 loss at San Jose State which forced him to sit out the second half. The Bulldogs have benefited from this exact scenario the last two weeks and have made the most of it and now have the best record in the Mountain West so far. Last week Fresno State would hold on for a 24-13 win over SDSU and freshman QB Nick Bawden. Two weeks ago the Bulldogs faced New Mexico and won 35-24. Decker was actually considered the Rebels' best QB coming out of camp and has completed 93 of 170 passes for 1,300 yards and five TD's to nine INT's; note that he's also rushed for 200 yards and two TD's on a team-high 67 carries. If Decker is unable to go, junior Nick Sherry will get his chance; Sherry has played just a few snaps in four games, he's gone 9 of 29 for 78 yards. Sherry though has a big opportunity to put some points on the board today as the weakness for Fresno State is clearly on the defensive side of the ball. Note that the visitors have seen the total go OVER the number in five of their last nine as a road favorite, while the home side has seen the total eclipse the number in eight of its last 13 in Las Vegas. Expect each team to open up the playbook and for this total to go OVER the number as the game comes down the stretch.
