AAA's NLDS TOTAL "ASSASSIN!" ALREADY 3-1 (75%) MLB PLAYOFFS!
(MLB) St. Louis vs. LA Dodgers,

Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the OVER between the St. Louis Cardinals and the LA Dodgers.

I played the OVER in Game 1 and the teams would combine for 19 runs. While I don't think we'll see that many men cross the plate tonight, I do feel that this total will eclipse the number in the latter frames. The Dodgers send Zack Greinke (17-8, 2.71 ERA) to the hill and he's hoping to help his team avoid an 0-2 hole. Note that Greinke is a pedestrian 2-2 with a 4.30 ERA in all posteseason contests. I think Greinke will have his hands full today with this confident Cardinals lineup which destroyed Clayton Kershaw for eight runs; note that St. Louis slugger Matt Holliday is 12 for 37 with two home runs off Greinke: "That was a very special win and now to be able to put that behind us and get ready for the next one, just, it sounds like a boring methodical approach, but I believe that's really what these guys have bought into and what's going to give us a chance to be successful," Cards manager Mike Matheny assessed afterwards. The visitors counter with Lance Lynn (15-10, 2.74 ERA) who had a great overall regular season, but who did not collect a win in his final four starts. Like Greinke, Lynn hasn't been overly exceptional in the posteason, he's 5-4 with a 4.81 ERA in 21 postseason games, which includes going just 1-3 with a ballooned 5.56 ERA in five starts. And like Greinke, I think Lynn will have his hands full with this revenge minded Dodgers line-up which posted nine runs of its own in yesterday's setback. In my opinion, all signs point to this one going OVER the number.
