AAA's 10* AMERICAN LEAGUE "ASSASSIN!" OFF 6-0 SUNDAY SWEEP!
(MLB) Seattle vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -125.00 Seattle (Away)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* ASSASSIN on the Seattle Mariners.

Both of these teams are stumbling towards the finish line, but Seattle is still in the thick of the race and with what I feel is the superior starter on the mound backing it tonight, think we're getting excellent value on the visitors and expect them to find a way to get the job done. The M's have dropped nine of their last 14 and are now 1.5 games behind Kansas City for the second wild-card spot. The visitors turn to James Paxton (6-3, 2.06 ERA) to get them back on track; Paxton has the lowest ERA among rookies with at least 10 starts. Paxton has certainly pitched well enough to win of late, but has been a victim of poor run support, he's dropped two of three starts and received no support in either loss. Toronto though is all but eliminated from contention as it sits 6.5 games back of Kansas City and has little left to play for at this point. The Jays can empathize with the M's offensive woes, they've averaged a paltry 2.9 runs while dropping seven of eight overall. The home side counters with JA Happ (9-11, 4.35 ERA) who was shelled for five runs over six frames in a 6-1 loss to Baltimore on Wednesday (note that it is an identical line in his only start against Seattle this year, a 6-3 road loss on August 12th). I'm giving the slight nod to Paxton on the mound and when coupled with what I feel to be an extremely reasonable line all signs do indded point to SEATTLE as the sharp wager in this contest.
